This 8 hour Advanced HAZMAT Management Five Steps to Success course will focus on an area that doesnt get much discussion on how to operate safely and effectively in those first critical minutes upon arrival... Our staff will instruct on how to quickly utilize our proven method Five Steps to Success on how to manage any HAZMAT Incident large or small that you respond to. We will cover recognizing and evaluating a hazardous materials incident, organizing the response team, protecting response personnel, identifying and using response technologies, and refining decision-making skills to protect the public and the environment in the first few minutes of a HAZMAT Incident that can make a difference...
Our HAZMAT Specialists will review topics that include Chemical and Physical Properties of hazardous materials, Recognition and Identification of hazardous materials, student will be given a review on RAD meter, CGI, Temp Gun, pH paper, F paper, PID, FID, direct-reading instruments, Sampling & Collection procedures, Personnel Protection and Safety, and Sources of Information. The students will also be challenged with real chemistry - Solids, Liquids, Paste and Gels while trying to identify the unknown chemicals on your own inferred spectroscopy or Roman spectroscopy. This type of training builds confidence and teamwork.
