We will cover recognizing and evaluating a hazardous materials incident, organizing the response team, protecting response personnel, identifying and using response technologies, and refining decision-making skills to protect the public and the environment in the first few minutes of a HAZMAT Incident that can make a difference...

Our HAZMAT Specialists will review topics that include Chemical and Physical Properties of hazardous materials, Recognition and Identification of hazardous materials, student will be given a review on RAD meter, CGI, Temp Gun, pH paper, F paper, PID, FID, direct-reading instruments, Sampling & Collection procedures, Personnel Protection and Safety, and Sources of Information. The students will also be challenged with real chemistry - Solids, Liquids, Paste and Gels while trying to identify the unknown chemicals on your own inferred spectroscopy or Roman spectroscopy. This type of training builds confidence and teamwork.
